Club Med operates in more than 30 countries and continues to maintain its authentic Club Med spirit with an international staff of more than 23,000 employees from more than 110 different nationalities.
Club Med’s North American and Caribbean business unit is expanding by 40% in hotel capacity and by 60% in revenue by 2021, making it an exciting time to join this team. The growth is being led by the opening of two new resorts: the Exclusive Collection Club Med Michès Playa Esmeralda, opening December 2019 in the Dominican Republic, and Club Med Quebec Charlevoix, opening in December 2020 in Canada.
Becoming a Business Development Manager with Club Med in the North America Sales team means:
•Achieving all assigned sales objectives
•Mastering your territory: knowing and building relationships with the key players, primarily travel advisors, understanding the existing business and seeking out new business opportunities consistent with Club Med corporate objectives

Currently, you are…
•Experienced in a sales role, preferably in the tourism or hospitality industry
•Pro-active with a strong sense of initiative, capable of multitasking
•Passionate about travel and experiencing new cultures, and project a positive and professional image.
•A good communicator and presenter that is comfortable building relationships and communicating a value proposition.
•A good listener: able to ask the right questions and understand a client’s motivation.
•Service Oriented and able to treat a travel partner’s business with respect - working together to find mutual benefit
•A creative thinker, able to approach problems in an effective way
•Comfortable with technology, able to learn quickly, and master standard office software as well as custom programs (Salesforce experience is a plus).
•Detail Oriented and able to complete tasks efficiently and in a timely manner
•Able to set goals and manage your business, and resources, to achieve that goal
•Active and able to participate in resort activities during agent familiarization trips and sales meetings, with reasonable accommodation.
•Able to lift up to 30 lbs to pack and transport marketing collateral to travel agents, or trade show displays, with reasonable accommodation
•Able to stand for long periods of time for presentations and provide walking tours for clients in resorts, with reasonable accommodation
•Willing and able to travel extensively away from home as needed to service your territory and attend events (in some cases internationally- a valid passport is required)
•Comfortable driving throughout the territory- as needed, with a valid driver’s license and your own vehicle ( which is presentable, clean and in good repair).
At Club Med, you will…
•Create and maintain account relationships with key industry partners, retail travel agencies and tourist boards in the assigned territory.
•Be highly responsive to the needs of travel agents and agency owners/managers, as well as Club Med leadership.
•Create a comprehensive business development plan including market analysis, sales strategies and marketing activities to raise awareness of Club Med and achieve annual sales objectives.
•Manage your time and resources effectively and efficiently.
•Work together with your team, including leadership, other BDM’s, inside sales and across other departments to reach our common goals.
•Solicit group and individual business through strong communication and effective interaction with clients to ensure their needs and expectations are paired correctly with Club Med product offering.
•Utilize sales and marketing materials to increase sales and maximize Club Med’s position in the market. Ensure that all information and promotional materials developed by travel partners follow Club Med brand guidelines.
•Coordinate and execute training and familiarization programs via webinars, educational symposiums, resort visitations, and pre-sale site inspections.
•Plan, coordinate and participate in trade shows and conferences within assigned territory or nationally as requested by leadership.
•Review sales reports and vital sales territory information provided by Business Control to effectively manage territory.
•Provide detailed feedback to Club Med leadership and other departments as requested, on the competitive environment within the assigned territory.
•Manage and maintain a working budget that provides for communication and administrative functions like co-op advertising, travel and entertainment.
•Partner with National Account management to ensure a synergistic approach to achieving company goals.
•Perform other job related functions as assigned.
