Overview of the Role
  • The Business Development Manager - Convenience Store develops strategic business plans that align client and retail partner goals to create effective sales strategies.
  • This role involves building and maintaining long-term client and retail relationships.
  • Location: Remote, must be local to Oklahoma or Arkansas to support retailers.
  • Salary: $70,000 - $80,000, based on experience.
  • Travel: Approximately 20%, including client meetings and industry events such as Sweets & Snacks Expo, Expo West, SOTIC, NFRA.
Responsibilities
  • Focus on convenience store sales.
  • Lead sales activities to maximize results.
  • Travel regionally as needed.
  • Present to clients and customers.
  • Serve as a liaison between clients and retailers.
  • Assist with KPI and strategic planning.
  • Negotiate with clients and provide solutions.
  • Guide marketing strategies utilizing retailer tools.
  • Prepare quarterly and annual business reviews.
Qualifications
  • At least 5 years of sales experience with Oklahoma and Arkansas convenience retailers or distributors.
  • Strategic thinker with an entrepreneurial mindset.
  • Proven experience in growing brands and effective communication skills.
  • Strong relationship management skills.
  • Knowledge of convenience retail systems and policies.
