Overview of the Role
- The Business Development Manager - Convenience Store develops strategic business plans that align client and retail partner goals to create effective sales strategies.
- This role involves building and maintaining long-term client and retail relationships.
- Location: Remote, must be local to Oklahoma or Arkansas to support retailers.
- Salary: $70,000 - $80,000, based on experience.
- Travel: Approximately 20%, including client meetings and industry events such as Sweets & Snacks Expo, Expo West, SOTIC, NFRA.
Responsibilities
- Focus on convenience store sales.
- Lead sales activities to maximize results.
- Travel regionally as needed.
- Present to clients and customers.
- Serve as a liaison between clients and retailers.
- Assist with KPI and strategic planning.
- Negotiate with clients and provide solutions.
- Guide marketing strategies utilizing retailer tools.
- Prepare quarterly and annual business reviews.
Qualifications
- At least 5 years of sales experience with Oklahoma and Arkansas convenience retailers or distributors.
- Strategic thinker with an entrepreneurial mindset.
- Proven experience in growing brands and effective communication skills.
- Strong relationship management skills.
- Knowledge of convenience retail systems and policies.
- Self-motivated with good organizational skills.
- Industry knowledge of consumer goods and market trends.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office.
- Reliable transportation for regional travel.
