More than 2,000 lenders and 600+ private equity firms, advisors, and investment banks across 25+ countries work on Leverest.

As we continue to expand our presence in the U.S. market significantly, we are looking for an experienced, commercially driven Business Development Manager to build relationships with key market participants, primarily PE firms, develop new business opportunities, and drive our growth in New York and beyond.

This is an opportunity to combine financial-industry expertise and established market relationships with innovative technology in the rapidly evolving private credit market.

What to expect:
  • Finance meets technology: Work at the intersection of private equity, investment banking, private credit, and technology.
  • Ownership and impact: Take responsibility for your own accounts, sales pipeline, and commercial results.
  • Entrepreneurial environment: Work closely with an international team with backgrounds in private equity, investment banking, strategy consulting, tech, and software development.
  • Growth opportunities: Support to further shape Leverest’s U.S. commercial strategy and contribute directly to our expansion.
  • Attractive compensation: Competitive base salary, performance-based bonus, and participation in our Virtual Share Option Plan (VSOP).
  • Flexible working environment: Enjoy an entrepreneurial culture where results matter, with flexibility and a collaborative international team.
Your responsibilities:
  • Business development and new client acquisition: Identify, approach, and win new clients among leading private equity firms, debt advisors, investment banks, and other relevant private-market participants.
  • Strategic account management: Build and expand relationships with existing clients, develop long-term partnerships, and increase platform adoption.
  • Sales strategy and execution: Implement and shape a targeted U.S. GTM strategy, manage your pipeline independently, and take ownership of revenue generation and sales targets.
  • Relationship building: Leverage your existing professional network to establish direct access to relevant prospects and senior decision-makers across the U.S. private capital markets.
  • Client engagement and deal support: Demonstrate the value of Leverest’s platform and support clients in using our technology throughout the debt financing process.
  • Market development: Represent Leverest at relevant industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities to strengthen our market presence.
  • Product feedback: Translate client needs and market insights into actionable feedback for our product and technology teams.
Your profile:

We are looking for an established professional who combines relevant financial-market knowledge, strong commercial capabilities, and an existing network of potential clients.

Essential qualifications:
  • Relevant professional experience: 3-10 years of work experience (at least 2-3), with a demonstrated track record in one or both of the following areas:
    • Debt financing, private equity, private credit, investment banking, debt advisory, or another directly relevant financial-services environment; or
    • Sales or business development for financial technology or private-markets software, ideally serving investment banks, private equity firms, private debt funds, or debt advisors.
  • Established U.S. market knowledge: Deep familiarity with the U.S. financial-services industry, its business culture, and the way commercial relationships are developed and maintained.
  • Relevant professional network: An existing network of contacts among our target prospects, with the ability to leverage these relationships to generate qualified leads and open commercial opportunities.
  • Proven sales capability: The ability to identify opportunities, engage senior decision-makers, manage a sales pipeline, negotiate effectively, and convert prospects into clients.
  • Independent execution: A self-directed, results-oriented working style, with the maturity and commercial judgment to take ownership of accounts and sales targets without close supervision.
  • Strategic and analytical skills: The ability to understand customer needs, assess market opportunities, and translate insights into effective sales strategies.
  • Education: A degree in business, finance, economics, or a related field is preferred.
  • Communication: Excellent English communication skills, with the confidence to engage senior professionals in the U.S. financial industry.
