Business Development & Customer Relationship Manager
About the Opportunity
Join our team as a Business Development & Customer Relationship Manager and play a key role in driving growth across the aerospace, aviation, defense, and advanced composites industries. This position is ideal for a results-driven professional who enjoys developing strategic customer relationships, identifying new business opportunities, and promoting innovative composite solutions to leading aerospace organizations.
Responsibilities
- Identify and develop new business opportunities across general aviation, commercial aviation, defense, UAV, and advanced air mobility markets.
- Develop and execute sales and marketing strategies to achieve revenue, margin, and pipeline goals.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with aerospace OEMs, Tier suppliers, and strategic partners.
- Manage the full business development process, from prospecting and lead qualification through contract negotiation and closing.
- Promote advanced composite products and solutions, including carbon fiber, fiberglass, and structural components.
- Work closely with internal teams to align customer requirements with company capabilities.
- Lead customer discussions involving material selection, technical requirements, and application development.
- Monitor industry trends, competitive activity, and emerging composite technologies.
- Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and customer meetings.
- Maintain accurate CRM records, sales forecasts, and business development reports.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Materials Science, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent industry experience.
- At least 5 years of business development or technical sales experience in aerospace, aviation, defense, composites, or industrial manufacturing.
- Proven success in developing new accounts and closing technical product opportunities.
- Strong understanding of aerospace composite materials and manufacturing processes.
- Experience working with aerospace OEMs and Tier suppliers.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, relationship-building, and commercial skills.
- Proficiency with CRM systems, Microsoft Office, sales forecasting, and business reporting.
- Willingness to travel for customer meetings, industry events, and other professional engagements.
