Wild West Systems seeks a Business Development Manager to own growth pipelines and serve as the primary customer-facing representative for WWS products in the field.
The role involves identifying new opportunities, conducting live demonstrations, and translating warfighter feedback into product requirements. Prior defense industry experience is a plus, with opportunity to travel and engage across military stakeholders.
Company Overview Wild West Systems is an American defense technology company with the mission to equip the civilized world with superior and affordable arms and advanced technologies - to dominate the battlefield of present and future threats, in a new era of asymmetrical warfare. We fuse versatile domain experience with novel approach and creativity to change the paradigm of defense - both for military arenas and civilian soft targets. We're an early-stage startup, rapidly moving and growing.
Love for America and passion for Wild West System's mission. Self-starter, capable of performing tasks as an individual as well as working well in a team. Bias for action. ITAR REQUIREMENT: To conform to U.S. Government export regulations, applicant must be a (i) U.S. citizen or national, (ii) U.S. lawful, permanent resident (aka green card holder), (iii) Refugee under 8 U.S.C. 1157, or (iv) Asylee under 8 U.S.C. 1158, or be eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State.
You will be responsible for identifying and developing new business opportunities across the customer community while simultaneously owning the live demonstration and customer solutions function. That means cultivating relationships and executing product demonstrations, supporting capability assessments, and translating warfighter feedback into requirements that shape the WWS product roadmap.
The right candidate has deep operational experience and personal credibility with the warfighter community, combined with the hunger to help build a company and grow a book of business. Prior defense industry experience is a plus, not a prerequisite. The ability to find opportunity, build relationships, and close is.
This role can be remote, but a hybrid role in Leander, TX is preferred.
