Overview

Drive Renewable Energy Excellence with Us! At Diverxia, we are on the lookout for a Business Development Manager in EPC Services, in Charlotte (NC), to lead the charge in advancing solar photovoltaic projects. Your role will be pivotal in fostering new opportunities, managing development processes, and building strong relationships with key stakeholders to bring innovative energy solutions to life.

Responsibilities
  • Identify, assess, and prioritize EPC opportunities in the solar and solar plus storage space across North America and specific markets.
  • Develop and execute go-to-market strategies to expand the company’s footprint with IPPs, developers, and large power users.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers at solar developers, utilities, C&I clients, and government agencies.
  • Own the full sales cycle—from lead generation and RFP response through contract negotiation and closing.
  • Leverage your network to generate and convert leads into EPC contract opportunities.
Proposal & Technical Coordination
  • Lead the preparation of proposals and presentations in response to RFPs and direct requests, working cross-functionally with estimating, engineering, and project management teams.
  • Ensure accurate pricing, scope definition, and risk mitigation in project bids.
  • Work with internal teams to establish procedures necessary to bid on opportunities.
  • Work with our procurement team establishing partnerships with vendors, subcontractors, and financial stakeholders to enhance competitiveness and delivery capacity.
  • Maintain and grow a robust sales pipeline to support quarterly and annual revenue goals.
Industry Insights
  • Work with internal teams to stay ahead of current regulatory changes.
  • Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and client meetings.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, Renewable Energy, or related field (MBA or technical master’s is a plus).
  • 4–6 years of experience in solar EPC or utility-scale solar business development.
  • Demonstrated success in securing EPC contracts.
  • Deep understanding of solar PV system design, permitting, interconnection, and construction timelines.
  • Familiarity with storage integration, PPA structures, and incentive programs.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills.
  • Willingness to travel up to 50% for client visits and industry events.
Additional Requirements
  • Existing client network in the U.S. solar development or IPP space.
  • Experience with tools like Salesforce, HubSpot, or other CRM platforms.
  • Technical fluency in PV system components, BOS equipment, and inverter technologies and other components.
