PER International is seeking a results-driven Business Development Manager to open and grow new business in a defined Southeast US territory. The role demands regular in-person engagement, territory travel, and a hunter mentality to build and convert warm and dormant accounts into RFQ activity.
You will inherit a partial book of warm accounts while seeking new customers, with day-to-day account management transitioning to the team after initial onboarding.
Boston, MA (first preference) / New Hampshire (second preference)
We are partnering with a high-growth, PE-backed semiconductor and electronic components business that is expanding its commercial team across the US. The company operates at the intersection of electronic components distribution, digital supply chain solutions, and high-reliability customer support, helping OEMs, CMs, and technology-led businesses source critical components in complex, fast-moving markets.
This is a high-impact Business Development Manager role focused on opening and growing a defined Southeast US territory. The position is ideal for a true hunter: someone who is energized by creating new relationships, generating RFQ activity, reactivating dormant accounts, and building long-term commercial value across a multi-state region.
The company has strong momentum, a differentiated market proposition, and backing that supports continued growth. For the right candidate, this is an opportunity to join a scaling platform where you can have visible territory ownership, meaningful autonomy, and a direct impact on GP growth.
As Business Development Manager, you will own new business development across a defined Southeast US territory, with particular focus on developing new customer relationships, reactivating lapsed accounts, and expanding underpenetrated markets.
You will inherit a partial book of warm accounts, including some customers with historical RFQ activity, but this is not a maintenance or farming role. The business is looking for someone who can win new customers, create momentum, and keep moving. Once accounts are landed and quoting activity begins, day-to-day transactional management will transition to the account management team, allowing you to remain focused on strategic growth and new opportunity creation.
This is a field-led role requiring regular in-person customer engagement and territory travel. The successful candidate should be genuinely comfortable spending significant time on the road building relationships across multiple cities and states.
The Southeast territory offers significant white-space opportunity, particularly across high-reliability customer segments.
Priority verticals include:
Experience in military or aerospace accounts would be highly valuable, particularly where the candidate already has transferable customer relationships. However, candidates with strong industrial, compute, or broader electronic components relationships will also be considered.
We are looking for a commercially driven business development professional with strong electronic components market knowledge and a proven ability to open doors.
You will likely bring:
The strongest candidates may also bring:
This is a strong opportunity for a sales professional who wants more than a narrow account management seat.
You will be joining a growing, PE-backed business with a clear appetite to expand its US customer base. The company has an established platform, existing customer activity, and significant undeveloped territory still to capture. The role offers autonomy, visibility, and the ability to shape a meaningful region rather than simply inherit and maintain a static book.
You will have the ability to:
The candidate should be based in or adjacent to the Southeast US territory, with the ability to travel regularly across a multi-state region.
Expected travel is approximately 40% to 50%, primarily for customer meetings, territory development, and strategic relationship building.
This role is unlikely to suit candidates who:
