This is a remote position in Dallas/Fort Worth Area.

Position Summary:

The Business Development Manager will oversee and drive strategic sales efforts for large-scale projects, managing client relationships, coordinating with internal teams, and developing strategies to secure major project contracts. The role involves providing consultative services to architects and designers, focusing on specifying Gordon architectural solutions, and overseeing independent rep firms to build strategic alliances.

Objectives:

  • Establish and maintain stakeholder relationships, providing project updates.
  • Analyze and revise project scope, schedule, or budget as needed.
  • Guide clients to optimal product packages emphasizing cost efficiency and design.
  • Implement strategies with sales reps and internal teams.
  • Hold customer meetings to secure project buy-in.
  • Develop relationships with national contractors and identify strategic projects.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with sales, engineering, and technical teams to support architects and manufacturers’ reps.
  • Assist architects in designing and specifying Gordon products.
  • Finalize bid processes with senior management to secure project awards.
  • Recommend innovative solutions and manage project lifecycle from pursuit to award.
  • Develop and execute sales strategies, create project milestones, and update sales collateral.
  • Implement new communication tools and oversee project kick-offs.
  • Identify early design opportunities and develop specifications.
  • Develop account strategies for architectural firms to increase visibility.
  • Support marketing efforts, including collateral and trade show displays.

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years in construction-related sales, operations, or design.
  • 3+ years in manufacturing.
  • Bachelor’s degree or relevant experience in manufacturing, architecture, or construction.
  • Leadership experience, motivating teams, and providing feedback.
  • Deep knowledge of Gordon products and projects.

Skills and Abilities:

  • Proficiency in MS Office.
  • Strong deadline and budget management.
  • Experience managing product development and cross-functional teams.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Accountability, proactive risk management, and independent working ability.
