Job summary

LVI Associates is seeking a Business Development Director in Denver to drive strategic growth across multiple service lines and markets. This leadership role blends high-level strategy with hands-on execution, partnering with executives to build client relationships and position the firm for long-term success.

You will lead BD efforts, develop growth strategies, oversee CRM usage, and guide pursuit teams, with travel as needed. AEO culture and hybrid work support your leadership impact.

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of progressive experience in business development, sales, marketing, or client development.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience managing teams and cross-functional initiatives.
  • Experience within engineering, consulting, construction, infrastructure, environmental services, or related professional services industries.
  • Proven ability to win and grow strategic client relationships.
  • Strong communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Experience developing and executing business growth strategies.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively with technical and executive stakeholders.
  • Highly organized, self-motivated, and results-oriented.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and coordinate business development efforts across the organization.
  • Develop and implement growth strategies aligned with company objectives.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, strategic partners, and industry stakeholders.
  • Oversee CRM utilization and business development tracking initiatives.
  • Collaborate with technical and operational teams to support proposals, pursuit planning, fee development, and client presentations.
  • Establish and enhance seller-doer programs, training initiatives, and best practices.
  • Evaluate opportunities and pursuits to ensure alignment with long-term business goals.
  • Guide pursuit teams through go/no-go decisions, capture planning, and win strategy development.
  • Monitor industry trends, emerging markets, and growth opportunities.
  • Represent the organization at industry events, conferences, and client meetings.
  • Travel as needed to support business development activities.
  • Leadership responsibilities: Manage and mentor a team supporting proposals, pursuits, and business development initiatives; Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement; Provide coaching and professional development for business development and marketing professionals; Coordinate resources and priorities to ensure high-quality deliverables and pursuit efforts.
