Job summary

Sci-Rec is seeking a Business Development Manager to drive growth in preclinical CRO services from our San Diego base. You’ll own the US commercial process, identify prospective sponsors, qualify opportunities and shepherd proposals through negotiations.

Working with scientific, project management and operations teams, you’ll translate client needs into pharmacology, in-vivo models, PK/PD and bioanalysis solutions, expanding our sponsor network across biotech and pharma in Southern California.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in business development, sales or account management within CRO/biotech/pharma environments.
• Experience selling preclinical CRO services across pharmacology, in-vivo models, toxicology, PK/PD, bioanalysis or related services.
• Strong understanding of the drug discovery and development process.

Responsibilities

• Own the US commercial process from identifying prospective clients to qualification, proposals, negotiations and project handover.
• Collaborate with scientific, project management and operations teams to translate client requirements into preclinical solutions.
• Represent the organization at industry conferences, client meetings, networking events and roadshows to grow presence in the US biotech/pharma market.
