Singular Genomics is seeking a Business Development Executive for the West Coast to drive commercial expansion across CA, OR, WA and adjacent markets. You will focus on new customer acquisition, strategic accounts, and accelerating adoption of our spatial multiomics services.

You will build relationships with academic translational centers, biopharma, and multicenter programs, manage complex sales cycles, and collaborate with field applications, marketing, and executive teams to win high-value

Qualifications

• 5–10+ years of experience in spatial biology, life science tools, genomics, or translational sales.
• Proven success closing high-value deals with pharma/biotech or academic medical centers.
• Willingness to travel 30–50% and strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

Position Summary:

As a Business Development Executive, you will lead commercial expansion across the West Coast territory of the United States, consisting of California, Oregon, Washington, and British Columbia. This is a sales role focused on driving new customer acquisition, cultivating strategic accounts, and accelerating the adoption of Singular’s spatial multiomics service offerings.

Responsibilities:

• Identify, develop, and close new business opportunities in the West Coast territory.
• Build and manage relationships with key stakeholders in major academic translational research centers, biopharma, and multicenter spatial biology programs
• Navigate complex sales cycles involving scientific, technical, and procurement stakeholders.
• Deliver compelling value propositions aligned to customer workflows and research priorities.
• Manage forecasting, territory planning, and CRM tracking.
• Work cross functionally with field applications, marketing, and executive teams to drive spatial multiomic service projects
• Represent the company at key regional meetings, trade shows, and networking events.

Required Qualifications:

• 5-10+ years of experience in spatial biology, life science tools, genomics, or translational research sales.
• Proven success in closing high-value deals with pharma, biotech, or academic medical centers.
• Strong technical acumen in genomics, spatial biology, and single-cell analysis.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and executive presence.
• Ability to travel 30-50%.
• Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences or advanced degree (MS, PhD, MBA) in a related field

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience selling novel platforms or disruptive life science technologies
• Established network across West Coast translational and clinical research sites
• Familiarity with spatial multiomics, immuno-oncology, cell therapy and biomarker discovery markets.

The estimated base salary range for this role based in the United States of America is: $140,000 - $165,800. Additionally, this role is eligible for one of our variable cash programs (bonus or commission) and may receive equity as part of the compensation package. Compensation decisions are dependent on several factors including, but not limited to, an individual’s qualifications, location where the role is to be performed, internal equity, and alignment with market data. Should the level of the role change during the hiring process, the applicable salary range may be updated accordingly.
