Who We're Looking For:

We are seeking a VP / Principal, Business Development with a strong background in executive search or talent solutions, preferably in the Private Equity sector. We are willing to consider strong sales professionals who have experience selling professional services to Private Equity firms who bring strong relationships. This is a pure business development role (180 model) and you will be responsible for identifying, engaging, and closing new client relationships while our delivery team handles the execution and recruitment process.

You’re a natural networker who quickly gains trust and influence with investors and top executives. A tenacious dealmaker who thrives on opening doors and closing retained search deals. If you’re a high performer who’s tired of restrictive metrics and unnecessary corporate red tape, and you’re ready to take ownership of your success, this role is for you.

While you will have the autonomy to drive your own business development efforts, you’ll never be working in a silo. We believe in the power of teamwork, and you’ll have the support of a strong delivery team that ensures your clients and candidates receive top-notch service from start to finish.

What You'll Do:

  • Lead business development efforts by sourcing new clients and building lasting relationships with decision-makers in Private Equity Firms, Family Offices, and their Portfolio Companies.
  • Focus on securing retained search agreements, positioning GVentures as the search firm of choice for Middle Market Private Equity Firms.
  • Develop and execute targeted outreach strategies to engage PE firms and C-level executives.
  • Act as a trusted advisor, understanding client needs and providing tailored executive search solutions.
  • Build and maintain a healthy pipeline of opportunities, consistently driving new business and revenue growth.
  • Work collaboratively with a high-performance delivery team that ensures seamless execution and client satisfaction.

Required Skills:

  • Proven experience in business development within executive search, talent solutions, or a related high-touch professional services environment.
  • Strong network in Private Equity, finance, or executive leadership circles preferred.
  • Ability to secure retained search business, with a track record of bringing in new business.
  • High emotional intelligence, with the ability to understand client needs and provide tailored recruitment solutions.
  • Exceptional sales and negotiation skills. You know how to build trust, sell value, and close deals.
  • A self starter mentality. You take ownership of your pipeline, strategy, and success.
  • Strong team player who values collaboration and understands that working together is key to success.
