This client is a leading solutions provider in IT, electronics, and consumer solutions, headquartered in Taiwan. With a presence across Asia, the Americas, and Europe, they specialize in human-machine interfaces (touch, voice, gesture, wearables) and vision products for applications like smart surveillance, mobile devices, smart homes, and advanced driver assistance systems, partnering with leading brands worldwide.

About the Role

As a Business Development Director, you will be at the forefront of driving global Connected Mobility projects. This role involves prospecting, selling, and finalizing new projects, while providing essential market insights to shape our technology and hardware platform development.

Responsibilities

Lead prospecting, selling, and closure of global Connected Mobility projects.

Provide market feedback to internal teams for technology and hardware platform alignment.

Cultivate and own client relationships, acting as the key contact for current accounts.

Establish direct relationships with key decision-makers within client organizations.

Oversee project communication flow from RFI to mass production and beyond.

Participate in client calls with Asia-based teams during U.S. evening hours.

Travel domestically and internationally, accounting for 25% of your time.

Deliver annual presentations directly to CEO and COO.

Requirements

In-depth understanding of OEM/ODM/JDM business models and hardware product manufacturing operations.

Minimum of 5 years of experience in sales, business development, or marketing, encompassing market research, initial contact, and contract negotiations.

Extensive experience in connected industrial IoT hardware devices within industries like Fleet, Transportation, Micromobility, etc.

Confident presentation skills with a focus on clarity and detail.

Exceptional communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively.

Proven initiative-taking and ownership of projects, backed by a strong track record of delivery.

Cross-cultural proficiency in collaborating with colleagues in Asia.

Bachelor’s Degree is a prerequisite.
