Job Summary
The Business Development Coordinator will support the Business Development Manager in the day-to-day coordination of Partner and Affiliate programs and assist with business development initiatives. This role focuses on ensuring smooth program operations, organizing and maintaining data, serving as a point of contact for affiliates, and identifying potential new members. The Coordinator will provide administrative and coordination support, assist with engagement activities and outreach efforts, and collaborate with sales teams to support the company’s overall growth goals. This role requires strong sales and business development capabilities, including confidence with outbound outreach, handling objections, progressing prospects through the funnel, and supporting partnership closures. Beyond administrative and coordination responsibilities, the Coordinator is expected to contribute directly to the growth and expansion of Virtual Latinos’ Referral Programs and Business Development initiatives through consistent execution, partner engagement, and proactive outreach.
Business Development, Outreach & Selling
- Assist, in close collaboration with the Business Development Manager, in designing and executing targeted outreach strategies for prospective partners, affiliates, and clients.
- Run outbound end-to-end (calls, email, LinkedIn, follow-ups) and own the result: prospects actually advancing through the funnel, not just activity in the CRM.
- Drive the full outbound cycle: calls, emails, LinkedIn outreach, and disciplined follow-up to consistently convert prospects into qualified pipeline. Owns outcomes (meetings booked, deals advanced), not just outreach volume.
- Support the BD Manager in closing new partnerships and affiliate agreements, including handling initial objections and coordinating next steps through to signature.
- Take ownership of assigned KPIs (e.g., outreach volume, qualified leads generated, conversion rate, new partner activations) and proactively flag and address when numbers are off-track.
- Understand the full Referral & Partnership + Recruitment funnels end-to-end, from first outreach through activation and ongoing engagement, well enough to identify where a prospect or affiliate is stuck and recommend the next action.
- Bring forward, propose, and help implement new outreach approaches, partner offers, or process improvements together with the BD Manager. Propose and help implement new outreach approaches, partner offers, and process improvements in collaboration with the Business Development Manager.
- Execute outbound outreach across calls, email, LinkedIn and follow-up sequences, taking accountability for progressing prospects through the funnel and contributing to qualified pipeline
Referral & Affiliate Program Management
- Coordinate the major aspects of the referral and affiliate programs, ensuring smooth operations, high engagement, participation and partner satisfaction.
- Track and manage referral data, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and timely commission payouts.
- Maintain strong, ongoing communication with affiliates and referrers
- Suggest improvements for the programs and its processes
- Support the expansion of referral and affiliate programs into new markets and verticals.
- Maintain consistent engagement with program members to identify potential lead-generation opportunities.
Event Engagement
- Collaborate with the BD Manager to maximize ROI from event participation and networking efforts.
- Audit and optimize in-person event lead generation processes for CRM accuracy and operational efficiency
- Drive post-event outreach campaigns to convert leads into SQLs and advance pipeline
Data Tracking & Reporting
- Utilize the Referral and Partner dashboard efficiently to ensure data accuracy and support participant success.
- Participate in weekly meetings by sharing relevant data insights, observations, and ideas.
- Monitor affiliate pay-out tracking and ensure compliance with internal processes.
Strategic Support
- Work closely with the Business Development Manager to support any strategic projects or initiatives that require cross-team collaboration.
- Act as a point of contact for internal and external stakeholders for program-related matters.
- Support the development and ongoing optimization of lead-generation channels to help maintain a consistent flow of qualified leads into the Recruitment pipeline.
Required Qualifications:
- 3+ years of experience in sales, business development, partnerships, outbound outreach, or lead generation.
- 3+ years of proven experience in an administrative or customer support role
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) and CRM tools.
- Experience in data tracking and reporting.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Proactive, resourceful, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
Sales & Business Development Experience (Required)
- Proven experience in a sales, business development, or partnerships role that included direct outreach and prospecting, this is not a purely administrative position.
- Demonstrated initiative in proposing and supporting outreach or process improvements, rather than solely executing assigned tasks.
- A track record of contributing to or hitting sales/growth KPIs (e.g., number of qualified leads generated, conversion rate, deals or partnerships closed).
- Direct experience supporting or closing partnership, affiliate, or client agreements.
- Demonstrates initiative in proposing and supporting outreach or process improvements, rather than solely executing assigned tasks.
- Strong hunter mentality: Strong outbound prospecting mindset, with confidence initiating conversations, following up consistently, handling rejection, and proactively creating new opportunities.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Familiarity with lead engagement, outreach, and client relationship strategies.
- Experience in data tracking and reporting.
- Comfortable proposing ideas and small improvements while supporting existing strategies and execution plans.
- Full-cycle sales experience a plus — candidates who've closed deals, not just sourced them, bring sharper instincts for what moves a prospect forward and hand off more effectively to closers.
- Hands-on lead generation experience — has built and managed a prospect pipeline from scratch, sourcing and qualifying leads through outbound channels rather than relying on inbound or pre-qualified lists.
