VRC in Rochester, NY is seeking a Business Development Associate to support the growth of its Portfolio Valuation practice. You will cultivate client relationships, identify new business opportunities, and support marketing and networking initiatives to drive revenue growth.

The role requires 3-6 years in BD or related fields, with strong communication skills and a willingness to travel domestically and internationally.

Qualifications

• 3-6 years of business development, relationship management, or client-facing experience within valuation, financial services, investment management, private equity, private credit, banking, consulting, or related professional services.
• Demonstrated success developing professional relationships and generating new business opportunities.
• Strong verbal, written communication, listening, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to prioritize multiple assignments and collaborate with internal teams to manage time-sensitive engagements.
• Ability to travel domestically and internationally.
• Current authorization to work in the United States without the need for visa sponsorship now or in the future.

Responsabilités

• Develop a deep understanding of VRC’s Portfolio Valuation business.
• Conduct market research to identify target companies and key individuals at those companies.
• Initiate communications with companies and conduct ongoing follow-up.
• Support revenue growth initiatives by facilitating introductions, meetings, proposals, and engagement opportunities.
• Build relationships with existing clients and network to strengthen ties.
• Attend and develop relationships at industry conferences.
• Provide research support for meetings.
• Develop marketing collateral, presentations and meeting materials.
• Create and host networking and other professional events.
