About the Role
The Business Development Coordinator will support effective and efficient operations of the organization's Business Development department. This position will require the candidate to work both in the NY office and remotely. Candidate will report directly to the Director of Business Development and work closely with the Sr. Business Development Specialist and the Business Development Assistant.
Responsibilities
- Support strategic initiatives to strengthen client relationships, identify cross-selling opportunities, and expand existing client engagements.
- Assist in the development of pitches, proposals, and tailored client presentations for current clients and prospective engagements, including coordinating input from attorneys and ensuring timely delivery of materials.
- Conduct research on prospects, clients, and competitive market intelligence to support business development strategy and inform attorney outreach.
- Coordinate submissions for legal rankings, directories, awards, and industry publications by preparing materials, liaising directly with partners, and managing the review and approval process through to completion.
- Support all aspects of firm-hosted client events, sponsorships, and networking initiatives, including logistics coordination, invitation management, and on-site support.
- Coordinate conference attendance and sponsorship activities, including speaker placement, pre-event preparation, and post-event follow-up strategies.
- Assist with thought leadership initiatives, including coordinating speaking engagement opportunities, article placements, and bylined content for attorneys.
- Manage and maintain experience lists, case studies, and representative matter descriptions for each practice area.
- Assist with and update the client relationship management (CRM) database, ensuring data integrity, logging business development activity, and supporting targeted outreach initiatives.
- Assist with social media content development and the ongoing maintenance of website content and marketing collateral.
- Assist with departmental budgeting processes, including tracking business development expenditures, processing vendor invoices, and managing marketing request documentation.
- Liaise with outside marketing and design vendors as necessary to support business development deliverables.
- Assist with other marketing and business development activities as required.
Qualifications
- College Degree
- 1-2 years of marketing and/or business development experience in a law firm

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a collegial, collaborative team environment, building strong working relationships across departments and with attorneys at all levels while contributing positively to team culture and shared objectives.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple concurrent projects and competing deadlines with a high degree of organization and attention to detail.
- Reliable and punctual with a pleasant demeanor and a “no job too small” attitude.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software; Adobe In Design, Canva, Photoshop and Illustrator.
