3 Eagle Elite Roofing & Restoration is a Houston-based roofing contractor built on new
residential construction. We install roofs for homebuilders across the Greater Houston area and
hold certifications from CertainTeed, GAF, Owens Corning, and Cornerstone. We are members
of the Greater Houston Builders Association, the Houston Area Roofing Contractors Association,
and the National Roofing Contractors Association.
We serve homebuilders on new residential construction and property owners on residential
and commercial reroofing across the Greater Houston area.
Position Overview
This position covers two areas of our business. The first is business development with
homebuilders, developers, and general contractors — long-cycle, relationship-driven work
where a first conversation can take six to eighteen months to become a first purchase order.
The second is residential and commercial reroofing sales, which move quickly and close in days
or weeks. The pay is structured to match: base salary supports the business development work,
and uncapped commission rewards reroofing sales.
The position also carries an optional path into sales team leadership, described below. We are
looking for one person who can deliver consistent results across both areas.
What You'll Do
Business Development — New Residential Construction
- Research and build a prioritized list of homebuilders, developers, and general contractors active in the Greater Houston area, tracking permits, subdivision starts, and new community openings.
- Identify and reach the real decision makers — purchasing managers, VPs of construction, and area construction managers — rather than stopping at a front desk.
- Learn each builder's bid cycle, vendor approval process, insurance and compliance requirements, and payment terms, and complete the prequalification packets needed to get 3 Eagle Elite onto their approved subcontractor list.
- Represent the company at jobsites and at builder association events, and be credible in front of construction professionals when discussing roofing systems, certifications, warranties, and production capacity.
- Own the relationship after the first job is delivered — review volume, quality, and schedule performance with each builder, and expand into their additional communities and divisions.
- Attend appointments and resolve issues in the field on the company's behalf, so that ownership is not required at every meeting.
- Generate, pursue, and close residential and commercial reroofing and repair opportunities.
- Conduct roof inspections and assessments, scope the work accurately, and present proposals directly to homeowners, property managers, and building own.
- Build a referral pipeline through past customers, property managers, real estate professionals, insurance contacts, and complementary trades.
- Work with Estimating to price accurately and competitively, and protect margin on every job you sell.
- Stay with the customer through production and completion so the job is delivered as it was sold.
- Maintain accurate records of every opportunity, stage, and closed sale to support commission calculation.
What You Bring
Required
- A documented record of closing business-to-business or in-home sales, with references who can confirm it.
- Fluent professional English, spoken and written. You will be the company's face in front of builders and commercial clients.
- Working knowledge of construction, sufficient to walk a jobsite, understand a scope, and hold a technical conversation.
- The ability to manage a long sales cycle and a short one at the same time.
- Comfort with a CRM and the discipline to keep a pipeline documented.
- Valid Texas driver's license, clean driving record, reliable vehicle, and willingness to travel daily across the Greater Houston area.
Preferred
- Established relationships with builders, general contractors, property managers, or commercial owners in the Greater Houston area.
- Direct experience in roofing, exterior trades, or new residential construction.
- Familiarity with builder vendor prequalification, insurance certificates, and compliance requirements.
- Spanish in addition to English is a strong advantage in this market and with our crews.
- Involvement in GHBA, HARCA, or comparable regional associations.
- Experience recruiting, training, or leading other salespeople.
Compensation and Benefits
Compensation for this role is not a fixed number, and we would rather say that plainly than
post a range that does not apply to you. What we offer depends on two things: the book of
business you bring with you in our primary markets, and your demonstrated ability to open
new residential construction accounts. A candidate arriving with active builder relationships in
the Houston area will be compensated very differently from a candidate starting from a cold
list, and we are prepared to structure accordingly for the right person.
- Base salary: supports the business development side of the role, where the sales cycle is long. The amount is determined by your existing relationships and your track record of landing new construction accounts.
- Commission: uncapped, paid on residential and commercial reroofing sales you close.
- Performance bonus: paid against agreed results.
- Mileage reimbursement: for business travel across the Houston area.
- Team commission override: a percentage of the commission generated by sales representatives you recruit, train, and lead under the optional expansion of the role.
Bring us your numbers. If you can show us what you have sold and who you know, we will build
the offer around it.
