Job summary

Empire Roofing in Houston is seeking a Sales Representative to own all sales functions for the territory. You will forecast, solicit and secure orders, while delivering top-tier customer service. The role reports to the President and offers a commission-based earning structure in addition to base pay.

Starting pay ranges from $70k-$100k plus commission, with a robust benefits package. This is a Houston office-based position requiring strong MS Office skills and field estimation ability.

Qualifications

• High School diploma required.
• Experience with MS Office (Excel, Word, MS Project) preferred.
• OSHA 30 training is required.
• Excellent communication, self-motivated, organized.
• May need take-offs and core cuts.
• Must be able to climb ladders / heights.

Responsibilities

• Prospect via cold calls, emails, door-to-door calls, networking and referrals.
• Set sales appointments with key decision makers at prospective clients.
• Develop long-term business relationships with clients.

• Create proposals and pricing from drawings and field notes.
• Submit contacts and maintain sales logs.

We are seeking a Sales Representative for our Houston office. The Sales Representative covers all sales functions in an assigned territory: forecasts, solicits and secures orders from potential and existing customers, provides customer service as required, and prepares periodic reports as required. They are responsible for the overall Sales & Marketing effort with respect to their assigned territory and will support and contribute to that overall effort. This position will report to the President.

Primary responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

• Prospect via cold calls, emails, door-to-door calls, networking and referrals.
• Set sales appointments with key decision makers at prospective client companies.
• Establish rapport and developing long-term business relationships with clients.
• Make sales presentations and partner with clients to establish their needs.
• Present clients with the most appropriate solutions.
• Create proposals and reports for clients or generate estimates from blueprint drawings, specifications, field notes, field drawings, and actual field inspections depending on client needs.
• Submit all contacts and documentation in a timely manner; maintain sales call logs.
• Follow up with clients on a periodic basis to ensure that their expectations are being met and to get referrals.
• Coordinate with service manager and president to develop sales strategies and to close deals.
• Understand the contract to ensure the Company’s responsibilities and scope of the work.
• Responsible for catching deviations from the specifications and plans as it relates to scope, contract and schedule.
• Obtain all necessary information, such as: field inspections, measurements, photographs, and sketches required to provide accurate customer pricing.
• Communicate with owners, architects, engineers, general contractors and property managers.
• Attend/conduct all weekly meetings in conjunctions with project start-up, pre-bid, sales, and job progress.

Requirements:

• High school diploma.
• Must be extremely knowledgeable of Microsoft Programs such as Excel and Word.
• May need to conduct take-offs and core cuts.
• Not afraid of heights.
• Can climb ladder.

  Knowledge, Skills & Experience (Essential):

  • High School diploma
  • MS Office, and MS Project experience.
  • Excellent communication skills, self-motivated, self-starter, a strong sense of urgency, well organized and professional
  • OSHA 30 training

  Knowledge, Skills & Experience (Desirable):

  • Bachelor's degree in construction/engineering related curriculum
  • Previous estimating experience helpful.
  • Knowledge of basic accounting principles.

  Key Competencies:

  • Walking, turning, stooping and reaching for and carrying materials, stepping over and around obstacles, climbing ladders and scaffolding.
