Job summary

ROVI Pharma Industrial Services is seeking an Account Manager, Business Development to grow the CDMO business through prospecting and developing new relationships. You will quote and close business aligned with the commercial strategy and report to the Vice President of Business Development.

You will manage existing client relationships as the primary commercial contact, coordinate with internal teams, and stay informed on market trends to support growth and brand visibility at industry events.

Qualifications

  • 3–5+ years in business development, sales support, account management, or related role (CDMO, pharma, biotech preferred).
  • Proven success selling sterile fill/finish CDMO services.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-management skills.

Responsibilities

  • Identify, qualify, and close new business opportunities for tech transfer and commercial fill-finish services, including lead generation and initial outreach.
  • Build and maintain a robust pipeline of qualified opportunities aligned with revenue targets.
  • Support the full sales lifecycle, from prospecting, through CDA, quoting, and contract execution.
  • Negotiate tech transfer and commercial agreements including pricing, scope and contract terms with support of VP BD.
  • Support management of existing client relationships, ensuring timely follow-up and coordination.
  • Act as primary commercial point of contact for assigned clients.
  • Maintain strong awareness of CDMO market trends, client pipelines, and competitive dynamics.
  • Represent the organization at industry events (e.g., BIO, CPhI, DCAT) to generate leads and enhance brand visibility.
  • Provide actionable market feedback to internal stakeholders.

Job description

The Account Manager, Business Development is responsible for growing the CDMO business through prospecting, developing new business relationships, quoting and closing business in line with commercial strategy shared by the CCO and VP BD. This role will also manage existing client relationships. This role reports to the Vice President, Business Development.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Business Development & Revenue Growth
  • Identify, qualify, and close new business opportunities for tech transfer and commercial fill-finish services, including lead generation and initial outreach
  • Build and maintain a robust pipeline of qualified opportunities aligned with revenue targets
  • Support the full sales lifecycle, from prospecting, through CDA, quoting, and contract execution

Commercial Operations & CRM Discipline
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date pipeline, forecasts, and client interactions in CRM systems
  • Adhere to internal processes for opportunity qualification, proposal development, and approvals
  • Follow required trainings, policy, and procedures
Qualifications
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in business development, sales support, account management, or related role (CDMO, pharma, biotech preferred)
  • Demonstrated success in selling sterile fill/finish CDMO services
  • Strong organizational and project management skills with attention to detail
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship management skills
  • Proficiency with CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce) and Microsoft Office tools
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
