Identify target clients and secure new business opportunities by delivering customized solutions focused on product quality, timely updates, and competitive pricing. This role requires extensive client engagement, including regular on-site visits and active networking.
Proactively participate in industry networking and attend conferences to identify new prospects, leads and opportunities.
Monitor industry trends, and competitive intelligence, and collaborate closely with global/regional team members to support account development, lead generation and business growth.
Evaluate business opportunities, develop customized proposals, and lead commercial and contract negotiations.
Manage and nurture existing client relationships, and track client activities to support ongoing collaboration.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s, Master’s, or MBA degree in Chemistry, Biology, Chemical Engineering, or Business or a related field.
2+ years of professional experience in industrial R&D, chemical R&D, formulation development, or a related area.
Knowledge and practical experience in the contract business for Regulatory Starting Materials (RSMs) and Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients (APIs). Direct Experience in CRO/CDMO sales, business development, project management, or contract management is highly desirable.
Experience recruiting, training, mentoring, and leading a high-performing BD team to meet customer needs.
