The Role

The US Commercial Strategy Business Consulting (CSBC) team is focused on reshaping the life sciences industry to work smarter, faster, and in a more connected way by optimizing the industry's operating model. We support pharmaceutical and biotech companies through designing and delivering solutions for core business challenges faced by commercial pharmaceutical organizations.

  • Identifying future customer engagement capabilities needed and the path to transformation
  • Transforming and modernizing HCP engagement planning and execution
  • Optimizing field force direction, productivity, and effectiveness
  • Defining strategy and execution for account-based engagement
  • Accelerating product launches with a data-driven approach

As a Consultant, you will work with leading pharmaceutical companies to address their people, process, technology, and data challenges. Your work will span areas such as commercial strategy, digital transformation, data analytics, software implementation, omnichannel engagement, and go-to-market operations.

What You’ll Do
  • Partner with clients to analyze and improve commercial operations including sales, marketing, and medical functions
  • Lead or support engagements involving software, data, and process improvements across Veeva's commercial cloud
  • Translate business needs into functional requirements and solutions
  • Conduct stakeholder interviews, workshops, and data analysis to identify gaps and opportunities
  • Manage project timelines, deliverables, and client communication
  • Collaborate with internal teams (strategy, data science, technology) for integrated solutions
  • Support business development through proposals, presentations, and pitches
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree required; an advanced degree (MBA, MS, PharmD, PhD) is a plus
  • 3+ years of management consulting experience with life sciences clients in commercial operations, technology strategy, or organizational change management
  • Familiarity with pharma/biotech commercial models, sales, marketing processes, and digital health technologies
  • Experience with Veeva software is a plus
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and in teams, managing multiple priorities

  • Understanding of regulatory and compliance considerations in life sciences
  • Interest in driving client innovation through data, digital, and technology transformation

Compensation
  • Base pay: $70,000 - $140,000
  • Salary range varies based on experience and location, with potential for bonuses and stock options
