Job summary

Specialist Staffing Group is assisting with a Dynamics NAV to Dynamics 365 Business Central migration for a Merced-area client. The hybrid-position partners with stakeholders, IT, and implementation partners to ensure a smooth upgrade while optimizing business processes.

The SME will gather requirements across Finance, Operations, and Supply Chain, support data migration and UAT, configure Business Central with partners, and develop end-user training and support post-implementation.

Qualifications

• 3+ years with Dynamics NAV and/or Dynamics 365 Business Central.

Dynamics NAV / Business Central Specialist

Location: Hybrid, Merced, CA
Salary: $100,000 - $130,000

Overview

We are seeking a Dynamics NAV / Business Central Specialist to serve as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for a company-wide migration from Microsoft Dynamics NAV to Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central. This role will partner closely with business stakeholders, IT teams, and implementation partners to ensure a successful upgrade while optimizing business processes and system functionality.

Key Responsibilities

• Act as the primary SME for the Dynamics NAV to Business Central migration.
• Gather and document business requirements across Finance, Operations, Supply Chain, and other functional areas.
• Support data migration, testing, system validation, and user acceptance testing (UAT).
• Collaborate with implementation partners to configure and optimize Business Central.
• Identify process improvements and recommend best practices within the ERP platform.
• Develop user training materials and support end-user adoption.
• Troubleshoot system issues and provide ongoing post-implementation support.
• Ensure integrations, workflows, and reporting requirements are successfully transitioned.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience supporting Microsoft Dynamics NAV and/or Dynamics 365 Business Central.
• Hands-on experience with ERP implementations, upgrades, or migrations.
• Strong understanding of finance, operations, inventory, manufacturing, or supply chain processes.Experience with data migration, testing, and end-user training.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to work across technical and business teams.
• Microsoft Dynamics Business Central certifications are a plus.

Preferred

• Experience leading or supporting a NAV to Business Central upgrade.
• Background in manufacturing, agriculture, food production, or distribution environments.
• Familiarity with ERP integrations, reporting, and business process optimization.

Compensation: $100,000 - $130,000 plus benefits
Work Arrangement: Hybrid (Merced, CA)
