The role focuses on forming LLCs and S corporations, drafting operating and shareholder agreements, negotiating contracts, and handling due diligence for asset purchases.

The ideal candidate will possess a JD, Colorado bar admission, and strong drafting, research, and communication skills.

Qualifications

Job description

Business Law Group, in downtown Colorado Springs, is seeking an experienced transactional business attorney. The ideal candidate will have 2+ years of experience. Knowledge of tax law as it relates to LLCs, S corporation, business sales and acquisitions, and other general business transactions would be helpful.

Duties:

• Forming new LLCs and S corporations
• Drafting complex LLC Operating Agreements and Shareholder Agreements
• Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating contracts
• Negotiating, drafting, and completing due diligence for asset purchase agreements
• Conducting legal research using resources such as Lexis-Nexis
• Drafting other business legal documents
• Provide legal advice and guidance to clients
• Tracking and entering your billable time
• Handling administrative tasks related to cases
• Billable hour expectation is 1,500 hours per year

Experience and Requirements:
