Job summary

Jobot in Florida seeks an experienced Business & Tax Attorney to join our Corporate, Tax, and Wealth Preservation practice. You will advise closely held businesses, high-net-worth individuals, family offices, entrepreneurs, and corporate clients across diverse industries.

The ideal candidate has a strong background in business transactions and tax planning, with a track record in mergers, acquisitions, and sophisticated tax strategies, and will provide strategic counsel while delivering

Qualifications

  • J.D. from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to The Florida Bar, or ability to waive into Florida.
  • 4+ years of experience in business law, corporate transactions, and tax planning.
  • LL.M. in Taxation preferred but not required.
  • Excellent drafting, negotiation, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Portable business is welcomed but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Advise businesses, entrepreneurs, and investors on corporate formation, governance, and operational matters.
  • Structure and negotiate business transactions, including mergers, acquisitions, asset purchases, and entity reorganizations.
  • Counsel clients on federal, state, and local tax issues affecting businesses and individuals.
  • Draft and review complex transactional documents, including purchase agreements, operating agreements, shareholder agreements, and partnership agreements.
  • Provide sophisticated tax planning for corporations, partnerships, LLCs, and pass-through entities.
  • Assist clients with succession planning, business transitions, and wealth preservation strategies.
  • Collaborate with the firm's estate planning, real estate, litigation, and business law attorneys on multidisciplinary matters.
  • Conduct tax research and provide practical solutions regarding business and transactional planning issues.
  • Develop and maintain strong client relationships and participate in business development activities.

Salary: $140,000 - $160,000 per year
