Job summary

Cloud for Good is seeking a Business Architect to lead business analysis and solution design on Salesforce implementations for nonprofit organizations. You will bridge what a client needs with what the platform can do: running discovery, shaping the solution, and ensuring the team delivers measurable results for the client’s mission.

Location: Virtual: Home-based office in the US or Canada. Work Authorization: Citizens or Permanent Residents of USA or Canada. Cannot provide Visa sponsorship.

Qualifications

• Salesforce Administrator and Nonprofit Cloud Consultant certifications required.
• 3+ years hands-on Salesforce implementation across multiple orgs and clouds.
• Lead BA and solution design on at least one Salesforce implementation over $1M.
• Extensive config experience including building Flows and data model design.
• Experience gathering requirements and writing user stories in Agile delivery.
• Knowledge of Salesforce products, platform limits, and release coordination (Gearset a plus).
• Understanding nonprofit processes like gift processing, accounting, and moves management.
• Strong communication, time management, and stakeholder skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead business analysis and solution design for 1-2 concurrent Salesforce implementations.
• Facilitate discovery sessions with large stakeholder groups and keep on track.
• Diagram complex processes and create user personas to inform design and adoption.
• Write user stories, acceptance criteria, and proposed solutions.
• Translate client goals into scalable Salesforce solutions and data models.
• Collaborate with architects, developers, and configurators on approaches.
• Support data migration mapping and reporting needs for day-one measurement.
• Manage stakeholder expectations and align across business, tech, and execs.
• Deliver sprint demos and validate against requirements; support UAT and adoption.

Qualifications and Education Requirements

Required

• Salesforce Administrator and Nonprofit Cloud Consultant certifications
• 3+ years of hands-on Salesforce implementation experience across multiple organizations and clouds
• Lead business analyst and lead solution designer on at least one Salesforce implementation over $1M
• Extensive hands-on configuration experience, including building Flows, with strong data model and solution design skills
• Experience leading discovery, gathering requirements, and writing user stories in an Agile delivery environment
• Knowledge of Salesforce products, features, and platform limits for solution design
• Understanding of Salesforce environment management, deployment processes, and release coordination (Gearset experience a plus)
• Knowledge of nonprofit business processes such as gift processing, accounting, moves management, and program management
• Strong consulting skills, including clear written and verbal communication, presentation, and time management

Preferred

• Nonprofit Cloud implementation experience
• Experience migrating clients from NPSP to Nonprofit Cloud
• Experience leveraging AI tools to improve discovery, requirements gathering, solution design, documentation quality, and delivery efficiency
• Salesforce Solution Architect specialization certifications
• Working knowledge of Apex or Lightning Web Components (development not required)
• Experience designing integrations with payment processors, marketing tools, or finance systems
• Hands-on experience with Agentforce or other Salesforce AI features

Key Responsibilities

Discover and Define

• Lead the business analysis and solution design for 1-2 concurrent Salesforce implementations
• Facilitate productive discovery sessions with large stakeholder groups, keeping conversations on track to meet session goals
• Visualize and diagram complex business processes in a format every stakeholder can understand and act on
• Develop and leverage user personas to inform solution design, prioritization, and user adoption strategies
• Write user stories, acceptance criteria, and detailed proposed solutions

Design the Solution

• Translate client goals and business strategy into scalable Salesforce solutions, including data models and processes that support multiple user groups and organizational objectives
• Analyze and redesign business processes to improve efficiency, usability, and organizational outcomes
• Partner with the Solution Architect, developers, and configurators to choose the right approach for each requirement
• Support data migration mapping and reporting needs so clients can measure their impact from day one

Align Stakeholders

• Manage stakeholder expectations and build alignment across business, technical, and executive audiences throughout the project lifecycle
• Build trusted advisor relationships with client stakeholders through reliability, transparency, and proactive communication
• Evaluate and communicate the impact of changing requirements and guide stakeholders through scope and priority decisions
• Support the Project Manager and client product owner in prioritizing the backlog

Deliver and Demonstrate

• Design and deliver compelling sprint demonstrations that connect user needs, delivered functionality, and business outcomes
• Validate delivered solutions against business requirements and acceptance criteria
• Support UAT planning and execution by defining business test scenarios, validating coverage against requirements, facilitating office hours and defect triage, and partnering with project teams to drive user adoption and solution readiness.
• Support training and change management so solutions are adopted, not just delivered

• Mentor Business Analysts and facilitate knowledge sharing and growth opportunities
• Stay current on Nonprofit Cloud and Salesforce capabilities
• Contribute to Cloud for Good’s delivery methodology and share ideas with leadership on how we can improve
