NewGen Technologies seeks a Business Analyst II to support the analysis and improvement of business processes, systems, and workflows. The role is highly organized, understands the SDLC, performs data and process analysis, elicits and documents requirements, and communicates effectively with technical, operational, and management stakeholders.

The position focuses on requirements elicitation, analysis, documentation, and collaboration across teams, ensuring traceability and informed decisions

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of relevant experience with an Associate degree.
  • Experience with data analysis, process evaluation, and requirements documentation.
  • Strong written, verbal, and presentation communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Elicit, analyze, validate, and document business, functional, and system requirements.
  • Analyze data, processes, systems, and workflows to identify trends, issues, dependencies, and improvement opportunities.
  • Develop future-state process recommendations that align with goals and improve effectiveness and efficiency.
  • Support SDLC activities including requirements definition, solution design, development support, testing, and implementation.
  • Organize and maintain requirements, process documentation, decisions, and traceability for coordinated delivery.
  • Communicate findings, risks, options, and recommendations clearly to technical and nontechnical audiences.

Job description

Support the analysis and improvement of business processes, systems, and workflows. The Business Analyst II is highly organized, understands the SDLC, performs data and process analysis, elicits and documents requirements, and communicates effectively with technical, operational, and management stakeholders.

Responsibilities
  • Elicit, analyze, validate, and document business, functional, and system requirements through interviews, workshops, observation, and review of existing materials
  • Analyze data, business functions, operating procedures, systems, and workflows to identify trends, issues, dependencies, and improvement opportunities
  • Evaluate current-state processes and develop clear future-state process recommendations that improve effectiveness, efficiency, and alignment with organizational goals
  • Support activities across the software development lifecycle (SDLC), including requirements definition, solution design, development support, testing, implementation, and continuous improvement
  • Organize and maintain requirements, process documentation, decisions, action items, schedules, and traceability to support coordinated delivery
  • Communicate findings, risks, options, and recommendations clearly to technical and nontechnical audiences while managing stakeholder expectations and engagement
Requirements
  • US Citizenship
  • Able to obtain a Public Trust designation for access to sensitive, unclassified government information
  • At least 3 years of relevant experience with an Associate degree. Experience should include data analysis, process evaluation, requirements elicitation and documentation, analysis of systems and workflows, SDLC participation, stakeholder management, and communication of findings and recommendations.
