Job description

Job Title: Server Rebuild Contractor (Remote)

Participate in our IT's top priority project — rebuilding over 1,000 servers with new standards. This is a fully remote contract position.

Contractor Responsibilities:

1. Coordinate assessment meetings with the Server Service Owner and the Server Rebuild team to review checklists, questions, and artifacts for the rebuild approach.
2. Assist in scheduling production changes for server rebuilds, primarily during off-hours and weekends.
3. Be present on the call during scheduled changes and escalate issues if resources are unavailable.
4. Attend all weekly and daily stand-up meetings related to server rebuilds.
5. Follow change management policies and processes documented in ServiceNow.
6. Manage at least 2-3 server changes per week.
7. Work independently to meet aggressive deadlines.

Required Skills:

• ServiceNow experience (beginner to intermediate).
• Technical support experience with Wintel and Linux servers.
• Ability to facilitate and coordinate complex tasks across multiple teams.
• Strong attention to detail and planning skills.

Working Hours:

Flexible 40-hour workweek based on change schedules, including potential night and weekend support.

Additional Responsibilities:

Analyze business problems and develop automated systems and applications. Collaborate with users to identify, evaluate, and develop cost-effective systems that meet requirements. May involve testing and creating system specifications. Lead cross-functional teams to resolve business, system, or application issues.
