Job summary

Talanto is seeking a Business Analyst to partner with public safety agencies, configuring systems to meet mission-critical outcomes and documenting requirements for successful SaaS deployments.

You will work across cross-functional teams to design solutions, perform testing, and translate complex business needs into actionable configurations. This role requires on-site work and significant travel in the US.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor in Business, Operations, Computer Science, or Engineering, or equivalent.
  • 2-3+ years of relevant SaaS implementation experience.
  • Experience working with or in Law Enforcement.
  • Experience managing process improvement or facilitating change management amongst teams.
  • Demonstrated outcome-driven thinking. Can make hard tradeoff assessments.
  • Self-starting, problem-solving mindset, and ambiguity tolerance.
  • Willingness to drive company-wide initiatives across departments.
  • Technical delivery experience and/or coding language knowledge.
  • Must pass a CJIS background check and handle confidential information.

Your Impact

Business Analysts are trusted advisors who bridge customer vision and technology. In this role, you'll partner with public safety agencies to understand operational needs, design solutions, and configure software that supports mission‑critical work. As part of a collaborative, cross‑functional deployment team, you'll help deliver successful implementations across an industry leading public safety SaaS platform. Business Analysts follow two tracks; as a consultative customer partner or a technical builder, you'll have opportunities to solve meaningful problems, work directly with customers, and grow with a team whose work directly supports the agencies protecting our communities.

What You’ll Do

Location: On‑site (4 days/week) in one of our US based hubs (Atlanta, Boston, Scottsdale, or Seattle metro areas)
Travel: up to 60%
Reports To: Manager, Business Analysis

  • Collaborate with the customer to configure systems to achieve business outcomes.
  • Capture the voice and desired outcomes of the customer to drive business process documentation, including user stories, workflows, and functional requirements.
  • Discover complex business requirements, providing structure and clarity, and work with Technical Business Analysts, Project Managers, Solution Architects, and Product teams to design and deliver solutions.
  • Assess impact and feasibility of proposed solution evaluating alternatives and delivering solutions that accomplish agency outcomes.
  • Design, administer, and document functional/user acceptance tests and training.
  • Translate complex business requirements into quality technical configurations.
  • Apply •••• best practices to all software configurations, troubleshoot technical challenges, and ensure continuity in environment structure.

What You Bring

  • Bachelor in Business, Operations, Computer Science, or Engineering, or equivalent.
  • 2-3+ years of relevant SaaS implementation experience
  • Experience working with or in Law Enforcement.
