About the Role:
As a Business Analyst I, you will take ownership of projects that drive real business impact. With a strong passion for technology and business, and a strong desire to learn, you will play a key role in collaborating with both business and technology teams. Your primary responsibilities will include understanding business opportunities and challenges, defining requirements, managing execution, and continually improving implemented solutions. These projects focus on long-term commercial programs and the systems behind them, including EDI connections and integrations with third‑party vendors and PCS partner systems that automate business processes. You will use AI tools as part of your daily work to move faster and deliver higher‑quality requirements. You will report to the Business Analysis and Solution Architecture Team Lead.
What you will do:
- Own the delivery of a portfolio of technology solutions for the business, collaborating with team leads and managers across Sales, Finance, Operations, and other PCS business functions to understand process needs and implement system improvements that support them.
- Work with business stakeholders as necessary to understand, document, communicate, and prioritize the organization's requirements to other teams that will contribute to the design, development, and implementation of the solution.
- Lead integration projects with third‑party vendors and trading partners, including EDI and API connections: gather requirements, coordinate with partner technical teams, define data mappings, and support testing through go‑live.
- Translate business requirements into clear functional and technical specifications, including data mappings and process flows, for development and integration teams.
- Use AI tools to accelerate requirements gathering, documentation, process flows, data mapping, and test scenarios, validating all output for accuracy.
- Identify opportunities to apply AI to business processes, define success criteria up front, and measure the value delivered, such as time saved, errors reduced, or faster turnaround.
- Share AI practices, prompts, and tools with the team to help everyone work faster and smarter.
- Support the systems and integrations behind long‑term commercial programs, partnering with Sales, Finance, and Operations as programs launch and evolve.
- Collaborate with functional business analysts, system‑specific functional leads (e.g. NetSuite), and others to design technology solutions that enable PCS partners and customers to do business with the company in new and more effective ways.
- Provide guidance to development and business teams during the build and implementation phases of solution delivery across multiple projects at once.
- Actively help prioritize the work of overseas teams to manage the delivery of in‑flight projects.
- Identify, communicate, and mitigate risks, assumptions, issues, and decisions throughout the full lifecycle of delivering technology solutions for our business.
We are Seeking People Who:
- Have a bachelor's degree in business analytics, information systems, computer science, or a related field.
- Have 2+ years of experience defining requirements for technical solutions for end users of software products and applications.
- Have hands‑on experience with an ERP system, such as NetSuite, SAP, or Oracle. NetSuite experience is a plus.
- Understand how APIs work, including REST and SOAP, and can read API documentation and discuss integrations with technical teams.
- Have hands‑on experience using AI tools such as Claude, ChatGPT, or Copilot in their work, and are eager to use AI to work faster and smarter.
- Can share real examples of solutions they have built or improved using AI, from work or personal projects, and explain the business impact, such as hours saved, errors reduced, or costs avoided.
- Understand core AI concepts, such as prompting, grounding AI in company data, and validating AI output, and how they apply to business workflows.
- Are knowledgeable in EDI, JSON, and XML for data integration and file exchange, including common transactions such as purchase orders and invoices.
- Have experience coordinating projects of varying complexity from requirements through delivery.
- Have experience working with external vendors or trading partners on integration or onboarding projects, which is a plus.
- Have exposure to enterprise integration platforms or middleware, which is a plus.
- Are team players, able to effectively interact with staff at all levels of the organization.
- Have strong conceptual, analytical and problem‑solving skills.
- Exhibit strong verbal and written communication skills, with an ability to express complex technical concepts in business terms.
- Are owners.
- Are continually raising the bar.
- Are sincerely open‑minded and are willing to examine their strongest convictions with humility.
- Nurture and embrace differing perspectives to make better decisions.
