The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's degree and 3+ years in FinTech/banking, plus experience with Jira, Confluence, Visio, or Lucidchart, and strong analytical and communication skills. Relocation to Upington may be required.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Business Analyst, preferably within FinTech or banking & finance.
• Proven experience in requirements gathering, process mapping, and data analysis.

Responsibilities

• Gather, document, and analyze business requirements from stakeholders for new and existing financial products and services.
• Translate business needs into detailed functional and technical specifications for development teams.
• Conduct data analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement in financial processes.
• Map current business processes and design optimized future state processes.
• Collaborate with software developers, QA testers, and project managers throughout the development lifecycle.
• Develop UAT plans and scenarios, and support UAT execution.
• Create process flow diagrams, wireframes, and other documentation to support project understanding and execution.
• Facilitate meetings and workshops with stakeholders to gather requirements and present findings.
• Support the implementation and rollout of new features and functionalities.
• Stay current with FinTech trends and best practices in business analysis.

About the Role

Our client, an innovative FinTech company, is seeking a sharp and analytical Business Analyst to join their team in Upington, Northern Cape. This role is vital in bridging the gap between business needs and technology solutions, focusing on improving financial products and services through data-driven insights and process optimization. The Business Analyst will be instrumental in defining requirements, analyzing data, and collaborating with development teams to deliver cutting-edge financial technology solutions within the banking & finance domain. This position requires a strong understanding of business processes, software development lifecycles, and analytical methodologies.

Key Responsibilities

Requirements

• Ability to work effectively in a team and independently manage assigned tasks.
• Familiarity with financial products and services is highly desirable.
• Located in or willing to relocate to Upington, Northern Cape.
