Job summary

Ampcus Inc. is seeking a highly motivated Business Analyst 3 to join our team in Richmond, VA. The candidate will evaluate user requests, analyze business systems, and align solutions with business strategies, while applying Agile practices and writing effective user stories.

They must be adept at leading requirements sessions, translating requirements into epics and acceptance criteria, and performing UAT testing to ensure quality releases.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of proven working experience as a business systems analyst for medium-to-large projects.
• Able to communicate and collaborate with agile delivery teams and other technical staff, business partners and vendors.
• Able to lead requirements-gathering sessions, including workshops, interviews, and document analysis, to capture detailed business needs.
• Able to accurately translate system and business requirements into epics, features and user stories with clearly defined acceptance criteria.
• Able to write UAT test scripts and proficient in UAT testing.
• Able to identify and document project risks and actions to mitigate risks.
• Able to track requirements throughout lifecycle of SDLC cycle.
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 Suite, ADO, JIRA and Confluence.
• Analytical and able to use logic and reasoning to identify strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions.

• Business Analyst evaluates user requests for new or modified products. Analyzes, and evaluates business systems and user needs.
• Formulates systems to parallel overall business strategies.
• Proficient in Agile practices and story writing.
