Job summary

Sovereign Technologies, Inc. is seeking a capable data/business analyst to develop, validate, and document requirements, support BI data integration, and define data mappings. The role emphasizes identifying data issues and delivering practical solutions to improve quality and service.

You will collaborate with business and IT teams, adapt to tight deadlines, and help automate processes while ensuring accurate data transformation and clear communication across stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• 3-5 years of IT-related experience, such as business analysis, data analysis, etc.
• LOMA Certification and ARA Designation are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist to develop, validate, document, and maintain business and functional requirements; conducts structured walkthroughs of requirements with business and project team members.
• May work with project teams to support requirements gathering.
• Analyze source system data in support of integration of applications into a business intelligence environment.
• Define data mapping specifications to support data transformation.
• Facilitate the identification of common data elements and their definition.
• Facilitate the identification of master data elements and their definition.
• May analyze source system data in support of improving data quality.
• Work with the business to identify data issues and identify potential solutions.
• Proactively identify ways to improve data quality through processes including business rules automation.
• Assist in evaluation of business requests to determine feasibility; research options.
• Respond to questions from business and IT teams.
• Assist in evaluation and tracking of new or enhanced solutions to determine potential issues; communicate impacts and recommend solutions.
• Assist in performing task automation and implement process improvements; propose enhancements to increase quality and service.
• Maintain regular and predictable attendance.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
