Job summary

Techgene Solutions is seeking an experienced Business Analyst (BA6) to support documentation and modernization of systems in Des Moines, Iowa. The ideal candidate will have over 8 years of experience in business analysis and 5 years in data mapping and modeling. Responsibilities include gathering requirements and facilitating communication across teams. This role requires onsite attendance 4 days a week during business hours, with an opportunity for contract extension.

Qualifications

• 8+ years experience in Business Analysis on large, complex IT systems.
• 5+ years of hands-on experience in Data Mapping & Data Modeling (MANDATORY).
• 5+ years working with relational databases (SQL Server preferred).
• Experience with system modernization initiatives.

About the Role

Interview Mode: Web Cam

The Client is seeking an experienced Business Analyst (BA6) to support documentation and modernization of home-grown systems across IFA/IEDA/ITG.

This role requires strong expertise in data mapping and data modeling, along with the ability to collaborate across business and technical teams in a fast-paced, Agile environment.

• Work closely with business leaders, SMEs, and technical teams to gather and document requirements
• Create and maintain user stories, acceptance criteria, and design documentation
• Perform data analysis, data mapping, and data modeling
• Document and manage business processes, workflows, and system changes
• Facilitate communication between stakeholders, developers, and project teams
• Analyze data to identify issues and recommend solutions or process improvements
• Track project status, risks, timelines, and deliverables
• Support Agile delivery with a focus on continuous improvement
• Participate in database analysis and system modernization efforts

Required Skills & Experience

• 8+ years experience in Business Analysis on large, complex IT systems
• 5+ years of hands-on experience in Data Mapping & Data Modeling (MANDATORY)
• Strong experience with:
• SDLC methodologies
• Requirement gathering & stakeholder management
• Agile frameworks
• Experience with ALM tools:
• 5+ years working with relational databases (SQL Server preferred)
• Strong expertise in:
