Job summary

TCG, a B Corp government contractor based in Washington, DC, is seeking a Business Analyst to join their project team. This role demands a minimum of 5 years of IT project management experience, along with at least two years as a Scrum Master. The Business Analyst will facilitate the scrum process and engage with technical teams. The position is remote but may require occasional onsite work in DC, and the ideal candidate should live within commuting distance. Job description

You're looking at a rare B Corp government contractor. At TCG, we prove businesses can be good to their employees and responsible to their community while being profitable. We’re an award‑winning IT solutions provider to the Federal government seeking a Business Analyst to join our project team.

The Business Analyst will ensure a true scrum process throughout the project by maintaining the scrum framework and facilitating the process for the organization, product owner, and scrum team. Additionally, the analyst will serve as a coach and facilitator to the development team in executing Agile practices.

U.S. citizenship is required for this role. The selected applicant must submit to a government background investigation and be favorably adjudicated before their first day.

This is a remote position, though the candidate may have to occasionally work onsite in Washington, DC, and ideally live within a commuting distance of DC.

Job Requirements
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in IT project management
  • Three years of experience as a task leader managing a group of engineers and the full ADP life cycle in software engineering
  • At least two years of experience in a Scrum Master role
  • Technical knowledge of software development and conversational proficiency in technology
  • Exceptional organizational management and communication skills
  • Excellent time management and ability to juggle multiple tasks under strict deadlines
  • Strong analytical and systems thinking skills, with the ability to apply technical solutions to broad, complex problems
  • Ability to engage clients and discuss technology solutions with the understanding that clients are not technologists, and political savvy to frame and communicate issues
  • Experience building relationships with project management, project team members, stakeholders, and users
Education
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline

  • Maintain liaison with stakeholders, management, subcontractors, and personnel; communicate, coordinate, and cooperate with staff members
  • Analyze new and complex project‑related problems and help create innovative solutions
  • Provide insight on application systems analysis and long‑ and short‑range plans for application selection, systems development, systems maintenance, and production activities, including necessary support resources
