Diverse Agile Solutions in Washington, DC is seeking a Senior Business Analyst (TO-703) to join our team supporting a government client. Responsibilities

We are seeking an experienced Senior Business Analyst (TO-703) to join our growing team in support of a government client. This position is ideal for an accomplished business analyst with extensive experience working on enterprise software development initiatives, Agile projects, and stakeholder engagement.

Position Overview

The Senior Business Analyst will serve as a key liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams, ensuring business needs are accurately captured, analyzed, documented, and translated into actionable technical requirements. This individual will work closely with project managers, product owners, developers, and Scrum teams to support the successful delivery of complex technology initiatives.

The successful candidate must be capable of operating independently, facilitating collaboration across multiple stakeholders, and supporting Agile software development efforts while maintaining comprehensive project documentation.

Employment Type: Full-Time

Citizenship Requirement: U.S. Citizenship Required

Contract Duration: Through the end of the year with the possibility of extension

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead business analysis activities throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Gather, analyze, validate, and document business and functional requirements.
  • Facilitate stakeholder interviews, workshops, and requirements gathering sessions.
  • Develop detailed business requirements, user stories, use cases, process flows, and functional specifications.
  • Collaborate with Project Managers, Product Owners, Scrum Masters, developers, testers, and business stakeholders.
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, backlog refinement, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
  • Assist with prioritization and management of product backlogs.
  • Translate complex business needs into detailed technical requirements.
  • Analyze existing business processes and recommend process improvements.
  • Support project planning and project management activities.
  • Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Assist with user acceptance testing (UAT), validation activities, and requirements traceability.
  • Work closely with development teams to clarify requirements and resolve issues.
  • Support change management and stakeholder communications.
  • Utilize collaboration tools to facilitate communication and project coordination.
Required Qualifications
  • Minimum 10 years of professional experience as a Business Analyst, Project Manager, Scrum Master, or related role.
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Strong understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) methodologies.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
