Job summary

TCG, a B Corp government contractor, seeks a Business Analyst to join our project team. You will guide Agile practices, champion true scrum, and help bridge business and technical teams.

U.S. citizenship is required; this is a remote role with occasional onsite in Washington, DC. Ideal candidate has 5+ years in IT project management and experience leading engineers.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of IT project management experience.
  • 3 years of task leadership managing engineers and full ADP software lifecycle.
  • 2 years experience as Scrum Master.
  • Technically knowledgeable (software development) and conversant.
  • Strong organizational management and communication skills.
  • Excellent time management and ability to juggle multiple tasks under deadlines.
  • Strong analytical and systems thinking to apply solutions.
  • Ability to discuss technology with non‑technologists and frame issues.

Responsibilities

  • Knowledge of full development lifecycle across methodologies.
  • Experience on large IT projects of enterprise scope.
  • Knowledge of agile project management techniques, tools, methods and approaches.
  • Facilitate technical team efforts via requirements gathering and user stories.
  • Provide Business Analyst support functions.
  • Support applications programming and documentation.
  • Develop, review and enforce policies, practices, and standards.
  • Maintain liaison with stakeholders, management, subcontractors, and staff.

We’re an award‑winning IT solutions provider to the Federal government seeking a Business Analyst to join our project team.

The Business Analyst will ensure a true scrum process throughout a project by holding together the scrum framework and facilitating the process for the organization, product owner, and scrum team. Additionally, he/she will serve as a coach and facilitator to the development team in executing Agile practices to complete work.

U.S. citizenship is required for this role. In addition, the selected applicant must submit to a government background investigation and be favorably adjudicated before their first day.

This is a remote position, however the selected candidate may have to occasionally work onsite in Washington, DC. The selected candidate will ideally live within a commuting distance of Washington, DC.

Job Requirements
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in IT project management
  • Must possess three (3) years of task leader experience managing a group of engineers and the full ADP life cycle in software engineering
  • A minimum of two (2) years experience working in a Scrum Master role.
  • Position requires being technically knowledgeable (SW development) and technically conversant
  • Exceptional organizational management and communication skills
  • Excellent time management and ability to juggle multiple tasks under strict deadlines
  • Strong analytical and systems thinking skill set; ability to apply technical solutions to broad, complex problems
  • Ability to engage clients and discuss technology solutions with the understanding that clients are not themselves technologists, with the political savvy to know how to frame and communicate issues
  • Experience building relationships with project management, project team members, Stakeholders, and Users
Education
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Engineering, Computer Science or a related discipline.

  • Assist in the development, review, and enforcement of policies, practices, and standards, including programming and documentation standards
  • Maintain liaison with Stakeholders, management, subcontractors, and personnel; communicate, coordinate, and cooperate with staff members
  • Analyze new and complex project-related problems and help create innovative solutions
  • Provide insight on application systems analysis and long and short‑range plans for application selection, systems development, systems maintenance, and production activities for necessary support resources
