Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Business Analyst with 5+ years of professional experience in business analysis, requirements gathering, process improvement, and technology-driven projects.

The ideal candidate will act as a bridge between business stakeholders, product teams, developers, QA teams, and project leadership, translating business needs into clear requirements and actionable solutions.

The candidate should have strong experience with Agile/Scrum, SQL, Jira, Confluence, process mapping, data analysis, and User Acceptance Testing (UAT).

Key Responsibilities

• Gather, analyze, document, and validate business and functional requirements.
• Conduct meetings, workshops, and interviews with business stakeholders to understand business needs.
• Translate business requirements into BRDs, FRDs, user stories, use cases, and acceptance criteria.
• Analyze existing business processes and identify gaps, inefficiencies, and opportunities for improvement.
• Create process flows, workflow diagrams, and business process documentation.
• Work closely with Product Owners, Project Managers, Developers, QA Engineers, and other stakeholders.
• Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies, including sprint planning, backlog refinement, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
• Manage and prioritize requirements throughout the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
• Perform gap analysis, impact analysis, and root-cause analysis.
• Use SQL to analyze, validate, and reconcile business data.
• Support QA teams by reviewing test scenarios, test cases, and acceptance criteria.
• Coordinate and support User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
• Validate delivered solutions against documented business requirements.
• Track requirements, issues, and project activities using tools such as Jira and Confluence.
• Develop reports, dashboards, and business insights using tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or Excel.
• Communicate complex business and technical information clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Identify opportunities for process optimization, automation, and technology improvements.
• Support production validation, issue resolution, and post-implementation activities.

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional experience as a Business Analyst, Business Systems Analyst, IT Business Analyst, or similar role.
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, Finance, or a related field.
• Strong experience in requirements gathering and business process analysis.
• Hands‑on experience creating BRDs, FRDs, user stories, use cases, and acceptance criteria.
• Strong understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies and SDLC.
• Experience with Jira and Confluence or similar requirements/project management tools.
• Strong SQL skills for data analysis and validation.
• Experience with UAT, QA coordination, and requirements validation.
• Strong knowledge of process mapping and workflow documentation.
• Experience working with cross‑functional technical and business teams.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving, communication, and documentation skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a fast‑paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Power BI, Tableau, or other data visualization tools.
• Knowledge of REST APIs, JSON, web services, and system integrations.
• Experience with Microsoft Visio, Lucidchart, or similar process‑mapping tools.
• Experience working with cloud‑based applications such as AWS or Microsoft Azure.
• Familiarity with databases such as SQL Server, Oracle, PostgreSQL, or Snowflake.
• Experience with automation and process improvement initiatives.
• Knowledge of BPMN or other business process modeling methodologies.
• CBAP, CCBA, PMI‑PBA, CSPO, or related certification is a plus.
• Experience in Healthcare, Financial Services, Technology, Retail, Insurance, or other enterprise environments is a plus.

Compensation

Estimated Salary Range: $95,000 – $140,000 per year, depending on experience, location, technical skills, and industry.

For highly technical Senior Business Analysts with strong SQL, Agile, data, and systems-analysis experience, compensation may be higher.
