Job summary

Position: Business Analyst

Location: Austin, Texas

Duration: 10 Months plus

Job Summary:

• Perform advanced (senior-level) business analysis for complex technology hardware and software projects.
• Support the Mainframe Reports and Extract effort.
• Gather, develop, and document business and technical requirements using multiple methods.
• Review, assess, and develop business processes to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
• Create, validate, and support user acceptance testing (UAT) and training activities.
• Conduct data analysis, root cause analysis of data errors, and document data flows.
• Develop, document, and publish reports, including posting data on the DIR Open Data Portal and RRC website.
• Work with Power BI and Snowflake to support data-related projects and reporting needs.
• Ensure deliverables and documentation meet established processes, procedures, and quality standards.
• Utilize accepted business analysis methodologies with significant initiative and independent judgment.
• May assign tasks and/or supervise the work of others as needed.
• Provide research and special project support to users and stakeholders.
• Work under limited supervision with considerable autonomy.
• Collaborate with business area personnel to design technical solutions and facilitate requirements gathering.
• Preferred: Experience in the Oil and Gas industry.
