This 12-month contract role is remote and based in the United States. You will work closely with product owners, stakeholders, and technical teams to establish vision, determine scope, analyze business needs, and help define and deliver solutions that meet customer expectations.

Qualifications

Job description

This is a 12-month contract role for a Senior Business Analyst supporting customer-facing technology initiatives in marketing and data analytics. The position is remote and based in the United States. You will work closely with product owners, stakeholders, and technical teams to establish vision, determine scope, analyze business needs, and help define and deliver solutions that meet customer expectations. This is a key role on high-visibility, high-impact development projects requiring the ability to interact effectively with senior-level business partners, facilitate large-group discussions, and drive agreement on final requirements.

Responsibilities

• Build positive, constructive partnerships with product owners, key stakeholder groups (including senior leaders), and technical teams to establish and advance business goals of projects, solutions, and products.
• Elicit requirements using various activities, facilitation techniques, and tools—from business case development to functional requirements, user stories, requirements backlogs, workflow documentation, and knowledge transfer meetings.
• Identify gaps or inefficiencies between requirements and existing or proposed solutions to develop the minimum viable product and phased delivery approach.
• Ensure effective data design by establishing key questions that must be answered and determining how customers and business users need to interact with information.
• Apply domain and industry knowledge to guide solution option analysis in close collaboration with technical teams.
• Conduct process analysis to identify improvements and technology impacts; work with stakeholders to develop ways to enhance productivity, efficiency, effectiveness, and product value.
• Participate in user acceptance testing, analyze user feedback and testing results, and make prioritization decisions and recommendations for defect resolution, modifications, or new requirements.
• Participate in trade-off analysis, develop decision-making criteria, and facilitate decision meetings with senior leadership.

Qualifications

• Required
  • Bachelor's degree with 3–5 years of business analysis experience.
  • Strong working knowledge of core business analysis functions, including business process analysis, roadmap development, and requirement elicitation tools and techniques (e.g., JAD sessions, interviews, focus groups, workshop facilitation).
  • Proven experience developing requirements and designs.
  • Experience with Agile methods, including working directly with product owners to manage the backlog, create and split stories, and prioritize based on outcomes.
  • Experience with Agile workflow tools, specifically JIRA and Confluence.
  • Strong facilitation skills in large, cross-functional groups.
  • Strong analytic and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Experience with analytics tools, SQL, and Office 365.
  • Experience with web analytics (GA 360 and GA4).
  • Organizational savvy, business acumen, executive presence, and ability to serve as a thought partner and influence others.
  • Ability to work independently, multi-task, and manage time effectively.
  • Willingness to cross-train and contribute to the team to ensure sprint commitments are met.
  • Flexibility with changing priorities and business needs.
  • Ability to advocate for stakeholders and business objectives across functional and technical domains to ensure well-reasoned decision-making and objective evaluation of competing requests.
