Collabera in New York, NY is seeking a Senior Business Analyst to join Fortune 100 clients’ teams. You will define business requirements, analyze data and report findings to senior decision makers, with a focus on regulatory reporting and capital markets.

The role emphasizes Excel expertise (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs), BRD/FRD writing, and partnerships across the enterprise to design data-driven solutions for derivatives, securities, and trading workflows.

Qualifications

• Senior level Business Analysis experience (minimum 8 years) with ability to define business requirements and report results to senior stakeholders
• Understanding of Capital Markets products such as derivatives and secured financing transactions and master data
• Strong Excel skills with pivot tables and VLOOKUPs
• Experience with Regulatory Reporting data requirements and root cause analysis
• Experience in Financial or Banking industry

Responsibilities

• Analyze data issues and perform root cause analysis
• Partner with internal and external groups across the enterprise
• Write and modify BRDs
• Work within Excel with Pivot Tables and VLOOKUPs
• Assist teams with design of solutions for data gaps identified

Required Skills:

• Senior level Business Analysis skills (minimum 8 years of relevant experience) - must be skilled in defining business requirements, root cause analysis, and data analysis and reporting them back to stakeholders including senior decision makers


• Understanding of Capital Markets products such as derivatives and secured financing transactions and customer and security master reference data (experience working with derivatives, reports, secured financing transactions, securities, market risk, risk concepts, trading, etc.)


• Strong Excel skills - highly skilled with pivot tables & VLookups


• Ability to understand and analyze of Regulatory Reporting data requirements, analyze data issues, perform root cause analysis, define business requirements, and drive solution design


• Standard Office Experience


• Strong business partnering and relationship building skills


• Experience in the Financial or Banking industry

Plusses:

• Knowledge of SQL/Python


• Data analysis skills including experience with Data Mapping & Data Lineage

Day to day:

• Analyze data issues and perform root cause analysis


• Partnership and collaboration with internal and external group across the enterprise
