Job summary

Dynamics Executive Search is seeking a Senior Business Analyst for a global investment management firm’s Client Data & Analytics team in New York. You will drive data initiatives, deliver BI solutions, and partner with business and technology teams to improve data quality, reporting, and operations.

The role focuses on gathering requirements, building data models, and delivering scalable data solutions with Tableau/Power BI and SQL expertise.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Systems, Analytics, Computer Science, Finance, or a related discipline.
• 6+ years of business analysis, data analytics, or data management experience within financial services, asset management, investment management, or a similarly regulated industry.
• Strong experience gathering business requirements and translating them into technical solutions.
• Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills with experience working with large, complex datasets.
• Hands-on experience with SQL and business intelligence/reporting platforms (Tableau, Power BI, or similar).
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with both technical and business stakeholders.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Partner with business stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document business requirements for strategic data and analytics initiatives.
• Identify process improvement opportunities and recommend scalable solutions to enhance data management and reporting capabilities.
• Develop and maintain automated workflows to improve reporting efficiency and operational processes.
• Support the design and maintenance of enterprise data models and curated datasets for downstream reporting and analytics.
• Build and enhance business intelligence dashboards and reporting solutions using modern visualization tools.
• Analyze large, complex datasets to identify trends, deliver actionable insights, and support strategic business decisions.
• Create business requirements documentation, process flows, functional specifications, and reporting mock-ups.
• Manage project deliverables, timelines, risks, and stakeholder communications across multiple concurrent initiatives.
• Partner closely with Technology teams during solution development, testing, and implementation to ensure successful delivery.
• Participate in user acceptance testing (UAT) and validate solutions meet business and functional requirements.
• Promote data governance best practices and support enterprise data quality initiatives.
