AmeriSOURCE Consulting, Inc. is seeking an experienced Business Analyst to support modernization and documentation of high-priority legacy applications. The role focuses on translating complex functionality into clear requirements, test scenarios, and documentation, while ensuring accessibility and quality initiatives.

The BA will establish reusable frameworks for requirements, testing, and documentation, collaborating with technical and business stakeholders.

Qualifications

• 2+ years BA experience in requirements and test case development.
• Experience documenting legacy applications and business behavior.
• Experience with AI-assisted requirements analysis and testing.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Analyze existing legacy applications to understand and document their current functionality, business rules, workflows, data movement, dependencies, and exception scenarios.
• Use AI-enabled tools to accelerate the initial development of requirements, application documentation, process models, and testing artifacts.
• Review and refine AI-generated outputs to ensure they accurately represent application behavior and business requirements.
• Create detailed user stories, business requirements, functional requirements, process flows, data flow diagrams, and edge-case scenarios.
• Develop requirements-driven test scenarios and test cases covering functional, regression, security, and accessibility requirements.
• Participate in application testing by executing test cases, analyzing outcomes, recording defects, and supporting teams during issue resolution and retesting.
• Assist with WCAG 2.2 accessibility assessments, identify gaps, and validate remediation efforts from both a technical and business perspective.
• Build and maintain requirements traceability matrices (RTMs) connecting requirements with test cases, defects, assessment findings, and remediation activities.
• Identify missing information, inconsistencies, assumptions, and potential risks within existing requirements and application processes.
• Maintain organized project documentation and ensure business and technical artifacts remain current and accessible.

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Business Analyst to support the modernization and documentation of several high-priority legacy applications. The ideal candidate will have strong experience translating complex application functionality into clear business and technical requirements, developing detailed test scenarios, and working closely with technical and business stakeholders.

The BA will help establish a structured and reusable requirements, testing, and documentation framework while supporting accessibility and application quality initiatives.

Required Qualifications

• At least 2 years of professional Business Analyst experience involving business requirements and test case development, or a 4-year college degree/equivalent technical education.
• Demonstrated experience analyzing and documenting legacy applications and their existing business and functional behavior.
• Hands-on experience developing and executing requirements-based test cases.
• Understanding of functional, regression, security, and accessibility testing practices.
• Experience documenting defects, validating test results, and assisting with remediation and retesting.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities with an ability to uncover gaps, ambiguities, dependencies, and risks.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and facilitation skills.
• Experience maintaining requirements traceability across requirements, testing, findings, defects, and remediation activities.
• Familiarity with using AI-assisted tools for requirements analysis, documentation, and test case development.
• Ability to critically review AI-generated content and ensure the final deliverables are accurate and aligned with actual business requirements.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to support several applications and stakeholders simultaneously.
• Ability to work effectively in an environment where priorities and requirements may evolve.
• Proficiency with Azure DevOps for managing work items, requirements, and testing documentation.
• Experience with SharePoint for document storage, collaboration, and project artifacts.
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio.
