Job summary

Talentify is seeking an experienced Business Analyst for a remote contract role focused on logistics, freight, and supply chain operations. The role travels once or twice a month and is based out of Erie, PA, with remote work flexibility.

You will liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams, translating operational needs into clear requirements and actionable solutions in a fast-paced logistics environment. 5+ years of domain expertise and TMS familiarity are preferred.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of BA experience in logistics, freight, or supply chain.
• Familiarity with TMS or similar logistics platforms.
• Strong knowledge of freight forwarding, carrier management, and warehousing.
• Experience gathering, documenting, and validating requirements.
• Proficiency with JIRA, Confluence, Visio, and Excel.
• Basic SQL for data validation and reporting.
• Excellent communication across onshore time zones.

Responsibilities

• Gather, analyze, and document requirements from stakeholders across logistics operations and supply chain functions.
• Translate needs into user stories, specifications, and process workflows for teams.
• Analyze freight booking, carrier management, shipment tracking, and warehousing processes for improvements.
• Support UAT planning and execution to ensure solutions meet requirements.
• Prepare and maintain process docs, traceability, and reports.
• Collaborate with QA, development, and product teams to ensure correct implementation.
• Support data analysis and reporting on logistics KPIs.
• Participate in stakeholder meetings and sprint planning.

Job Overview

Our client is seeking an experienced Business Analyst with strong domain expertise in logistics, freight, and supply chain operations. You will serve as the key liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams, translating operational needs into clear requirements and actionable solutions within a fast-paced logistics environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Gather, analyze, and document business requirements from stakeholders across logistics operations, freight/transportation management, and supply chain functions
• Translate business needs into user stories, functional specifications, and process workflows for development and operations teams
• Analyze current business processes (freight booking, carrier management, shipment tracking, warehousing) and identify improvement or automation opportunities
• Support UAT planning and execution to ensure delivered solutions meet business requirements
• Prepare and maintain business process documentation, requirement traceability matrices, and reports
• Collaborate with QA, development, and product teams to ensure requirements are correctly implemented
• Support data analysis and reporting related to logistics KPIs (on-time performance, carrier compliance, shipment costs)
• Participate in stakeholder meetings, requirement workshops, and sprint/planning sessions

Required Skills

• 5+ years of Business Analyst experience with logistics, freight, or supply chain domain expertise
• Familiarity with Transportation Management Systems (TMS) or similar logistics platforms
• Strong understanding of logistics business processes and terminology (freight forwarding, carrier management, warehousing)
• Proven experience gathering, documenting, and validating business requirements
• Proficiency with tools: JIRA, Confluence, Visio, Excel
• Basic SQL skills for data validation and reporting
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to work with onshore stakeholders across time zones

Preferred Skills

• Experience with cross-functional and cross-time zone teams (business, QA, development)
• Agile/Scrum methodology experience

Location & Work Model

Remote with occasional on-site travel (once or twice a month). Position is based out of Erie, PA.

Engagement Details

Contract engagement. Duration to be confirmed. Candidates should be available for regular travel as required by the project.
