Southwest Tennessee Community College invites applications for a part-time Adjunct Faculty position in the Business and Legal Studies Department in Memphis. The Adjunct Instructor coordinates, plans, presents, and evaluates classroom instruction and related activities on any SW Tennessee campus, with day, evening or weekend duties.

The minimum qualifications include a Master’s degree or 18 graduate hours in the teaching discipline, plus either two years of higher education teaching or one year

Qualifications

• Master’s degree as specified or equivalent with required graduate hours.
• Minimum two years of higher education teaching or one year plus three years in the field.
• Knowledge of student-centered learning and FERPA-friendly practices.

Responsibilities

• Prepares and delivers instruction on topics in Business.
• Evaluates student work and provides timely feedback and progress updates.
• Develops curricula and instructional materials such as syllabi and handouts.
• Maintains office hours and assists in recruitment and student success initiatives.
• Participates in faculty meetings and professional development activities.
• May perform other duties as assigned by Department Head/Dean.
