Midwest Transit Equipment in Kankakee, IL is seeking a Full Time Shop Dispatcher to coordinate daily workloads for service technicians, prepare and update work orders, and ensure timely completion and invoicing.

The role requires a high school diploma and experience in medium/heavy duty trucks or automotive industries; excellent communication, problem solving, and MS Office skills are essential; safety-conscious and able to work under pressure.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience in the Medium/Heavy Duty truck or automotive industry preferred.
• Strong problem solving and communication skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Attention to detail and customer service orientation.

Responsibilities

• Assign jobs to technicians based on workload and location.
• Prepare, update, and dispatch daily work orders.
• Gather and maintain work orders and documentation.
• Ensure job completion and invoice customers upon completion.
• Comply with warranty and policy procedures.
• Document warranty claims and track warranty parts.
• Provide warranty updates to service staff as needed.
• Maintain communication with Parts Dept and Technicians to ensure parts availability.
• Attend Service Staff meetings as required.
• Provide excellent customer service.
