Job summary

Butler's Bus in Barnstead, NH is seeking a Part Time Bus Monitor to help safely escort students to and from school. You will assist students boarding and exiting a vehicle, ensure seat belts are fastened, and monitor behavior during transit.

Ideal candidates are at least 18, can pass background checks, speak clear English, and enjoy working with school-age children. Training is provided, and the role offers part-time hours with a friendly, supportive team.

Qualifications

• Ability to pass a background check (CORI/SORI) and drug screen.
• Must be able to communicate clearly in English (spoken and written).
• Enjoy working with school-age children and follow directions from leadership.

This includes helping them enter and exit the vehicle, using the vehicle’s lap and shoulder belts, and safely securing them in car seats and booster seats. Lifting may be required.Monitor student behavior to provide appropriate guidance, feedback, and direction when necessary.Report unsafe and inappropriate student behavior to management; follow directions and implement corrective steps as assigned.Must be able to communicate effectively and clearly in (English) with students, parents, teachers, and Butler's Bus staff.Must demonstrate effective interpersonal communication skills while using Butler's Bus two-way radio system.Must have the physical capability to safely install car seats and booster seats.
