Job summary

Butler's Bus in Barnstead, NH is seeking a School Van Monitor to safely assist students on and off the vehicle and ensure child safety through seat belts and car seats. Hourly pay is $18.00 with 20-25 hours per week, including split shifts from early morning to late afternoon.

Training is provided and background checks are required. The role involves monitoring behavior, communicating with students and parents, and following directions from management.

Qualifications

• At least 18 years old.
• Ability to pass background check, CORI/SORI, drug screen.
• Effectively communicate in English (spoken and written).

Responsibilities

• Safely assist students as they enter/exit the vehicle and secure them with lap/shoulder belts and car seats or boosters.
• Monitor student behavior and provide guidance and direction as needed.
• Report unsafe or inappropriate behavior to management and follow directions to implement corrective steps.
• Communicate clearly in English with students, parents, teachers and staff using the two-way radio.
• Maintain safety and assist with lifting as required.
• Follow written and verbal directions from supervisors and work with students with special needs.
