Student Transportation Of America in Mount Joy, PA is seeking a licensed Mechanic to perform preventive maintenance, diagnose and repair buses in our active fleet. The role requires proficiency with B-class maintenance, and ASE certifications are encouraged.

You will document work in CMMS and support safe, reliable transportation. The position offers a competitive benefits package, sign-on bonus, boot allowance, and training opportunities to advance skills while working Monday through Friday

Formación

• 3+ years of maintenance experience in school transportation, transportation, or related field.
• Air Brake and diagnostic experience.
• Willingness to obtain a CDL and State Inspection license.
• ASE certification is a plus.
• Valid CDL is a plus.
• Tools to perform maintenance work is a plus.

Responsabilidades

• Performs inspections on all types of vehicles and repair systems/parts when needed.
• Uses preventative maintenance check list to verify repairs.
• Repairs and inspections involve engines, batteries, lights, gauges and controls, safety equipment, transmissions, tires, brakes, undercarriage, power steering, fluids and filters and all other electrical and mechanical bus components.
• Completely document all work performed in CMMS Software.
• Utilize CMMS to diagnose vehicle trends.
• Diagnose and repair buses focusing on minor to moderate problems including engine, transmission, electrical, tires, brakes, undercarriage, power steering, fluids/filters and mechanical defects.
• Use repair manuals and parts manuals for aid in making minor repairs.
• Inspect and verify problems on buses using diagnostic equipment.
• Perform in-house and road call bus repairs with various tools.
• Repair and replace bus equipment as required.
• Test buses for proper working order.
• Assist Class A and C technicians with repair work as required.
• Acknowledge physical dexterity and heavy lifting requirements.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
