Job summary

Gregory Poole Equipment Company seeks a Field Technician I (Bus Division) to diagnose, maintain, and repair school and activity buses in the field and shop. You will use manuals, parts diagrams, and diagnostic tools to ensure proper operation and customer satisfaction, while adhering to safety and PPE protocols.

The role involves climbing, lifting heavy parts, and communicating with customers on site. A valid driver's license and ability to travel are required to meet fleet standards.

Qualifications

• Six years of mechanical experience, including school and activity buses.
• Must have a high school education or GED.
• Valid driver's license; CDL/DOT certification may be required for some positions.
• Ability to lift up to 117 pounds and operate a mechanical hoist.

Responsibilities

• Review schedule, prepare tools, PPE, and materials for work.
• Troubleshoot engines, fuel systems, and transmissions using manuals.
• Utilize lift trucks, cranes and hoists to move parts and equipment.
• Disassemble/assemble parts, test systems, and recalibrate as needed.
• Record data in systems and reference parts information.
• Interact with customers professionally at site locations.
