Job summary

Gregory Poole Equipment Company is seeking a skilled technician to support school and activity buses, performing preventive maintenance, pre-delivery inspections, recalls and service bulletins, and routine repairs both in shop and in the field. You will troubleshoot engines, hydraulics, and transmissions using manuals and parts diagrams, while ensuring safe operation and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Six years of mechanical experience on school or activity buses.
• Fundamental understanding of engines, hydraulics, electrical systems and transmissions.
• Ability to lift up to 117 pounds and operate mechanical hoists.

Responsibilities

• Review the work schedule and prep tools, PPE, and parts.
• Troubleshoot engines, fuel systems, and transmissions using manuals.
• Lift/move parts with hoists and use meters/computers to test and recalibrate.
• Perform inspections and preventative maintenance in shop or field.
